The importance of a good daily routine

A good daily routine is very important and will determine how effective you are in achieving your goals. I personally do not have a good daily routine; I procrastinate, don't get much work done, etc. I am mainly making this article for myself hut if anyone else finds it useful go ahead and use it.

I watched a video on YouTube one day, while procrastinating, about a so called "dopamine loading" method. I will link it (here). Usually I am sceptic of these sorts of videos and "dopamine" methods, but this one validated an idea and execution I had done before. In short, you can think of the dopamine you get throughout the day as a line (x- axis is time and y-axis is dopamine), which fluctuates up and down. The idea is that you want to keep it pretty short throughout the morning and until the evening by doing work and tasks which lift your dopamine slightly but not to the level of that of say playing a video game. This is achieved by doing a task that is good for you but may not be the most enjoyable. Do not watch YouTube, TikTok, or anything that gives you a "spike of dopamine". (Start day off with sun, walk outside during breaks and lunch, etc, instead of video games and YouTube.) Then as the evening comes forward and you have done work, you will be happy and feel fulfilled with all the work you have done and then it is your choice what to do. You can load dopamine at these times by consooooming content, etc. Obviously you don't have to do this but the general idea is that you build up your dopamine slowly throughout the day.
